4th of July Activities in Chattanooga

Family-friendly fun, a dazzling fireworks display, and live entertainment make Chattanooga the place to be on summer’s biggest, most explosive holiday. For an Independence Day you won’t want to miss, check out the following 4th of July Activities in Chattanooga.

Pops on the River

On July 3, Coolidge Park will host Pops on the River, a free outdoor concert starting at 5 p.m. At 8 p.m. the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera will take the stage. At 9:45 p.m. the spectacular fireworks show will begin. Remember to bring a blanket or lawn chair to take in the musical event and fireworks extravaganza.

Chattanooga Zoo

Spend Fourth of July with the furry, fearsome, adorable, and exotic residents of the Chattanooga Zoo. Special Red, White, & Zoo activities include the opportunity to learn about capybaras, sandcats, and tamarins. Also part of the holiday schedule are Zoo Choo train rides, animal meet and greets, and camel rides. Be sure to wear red, white, and blue as the patriotic colors will earn you $1 off the price of admission.

Creative Discovery Museum

The Red, White, and Blue Day at the Creative Discovery Museum in downtown Chattanooga starts at 12 p.m. on July 4. Guests can get into the holiday spirit with patriotic-themed crafts and activities. A balloon drop and kid-friendly fireworks show will have everyone cheering.
