At the heart of Ruby Falls is the magnificent 145-foot underground waterfall that earned the city its name. A guided tour leads you through a network of awe-inspiring caves and deep into Lookout Mountain, where the waterfall comes roaring down through the rocks. The adventurous can even tour the cave the same way its original explorers did, with nothing but a lantern to light the way. For cave enthusiasts and first-timers alike, the underground falls are an incredible sight.
If you’re claustrophobic, Ruby Falls offers plenty to do above ground, too. An expansive zip line and suspended obstacle course get the adrenaline pumping and affords incredible views of nature and the nearby city of Chattanooga.
