Are you considering going away this spring for a vacation? Sure, the allure of Florida or some nice place on the West Coast might be appealing, but why spend all the money for travel and board when you can enjoy some of the best scenic vies in Chattanooga? We’re quite fortunate to be surrounded by some of the best that Mother Nature has to offer, and these three scenic views are among the best you’ll find anywhere in the country.
Located just 8 miles from downtown Chattanooga, Sunset Rock offers an amazing view of the city and the surrounding landscape. And since there is even a parking lot, it’s the perfect place to start off your spring driving tour staycation.
Situated a bit further from the downtown area, Edward’s Point offers a more secluded view of the entire river valley. Off-road enthusiasts will be excited to learn that this overlook can be reached via ATV on a system of trails.
Cloudland Canyon Overlook
About 30 miles away from the city, Cloudland Canyon Overlook is a great day-trip destination for those looking to hit the road and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. You can even make use of the park campgrounds and turn that quick trip into an affordable weekend getaway.
Every October, Chattanooga transforms itself into ChattaBOOga, a city filled to the brim with fun and exciting events to get in the spirit of Halloween. Looking for ChattaBOOga Halloween events for you and the whole family? Check out some of these:

Located just outside of Chattanooga on the Tennessee River, the town of Ruby Falls should be on your to-do list if you’re planning a trip to the Southeast, or if you’re already nearby and somehow missed this major attraction.
At the heart of Ruby Falls is the magnificent 145-foot underground waterfall that earned the city its name. A guided tour leads you through a network of awe-inspiring caves and deep into Lookout Mountain, where the waterfall comes roaring down through the rocks. The adventurous can even tour the cave the same way its original explorers did, with nothing but a lantern to light the way. For cave enthusiasts and first-timers alike, the underground falls are an incredible sight.
If you’re claustrophobic, Ruby Falls offers plenty to do above ground, too. An expansive zip line and suspended obstacle course get the adrenaline pumping and affords incredible views of nature and the nearby city of Chattanooga. The course features routes of varying difficulty, so whether you’re looking for a challenge or simply a unique view of a beautiful area, you can spend a memorable afternoon in the treetops at Ruby Falls.
Finally, at the top of the list of Ruby Falls attractions, be sure you visit Lookout Mountain Tower. Built in 1929 in the style of a 15th century Irish castle, the tower offers a panoramic view of the scenic landscape of Chattanooga and the Tennessee River.
With so much to offer, its no wonder Ruby Falls has become such a popular attraction.
