ChattaBOOga Halloween Events in October

ChattaBOOga Halloween events

Every October, Chattanooga transforms itself into ChattaBOOga, a city filled to the brim with fun and exciting events to get in the spirit of Halloween. Looking for ChattaBOOga Halloween events for you and the whole family? Check out some of these:

Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern

This national award-winning event is a team effort between Ruby Falls and Fear Connection. The 20,000-square-foot cavern takes visitors into a haunted attraction like no other.

Acres of Darkness

The Chattanooga Audubon Society puts on a great event in the midst of the forest, where people of all ages can participate in the blacklight maze and hayrides and head to the bonfire afterwards for s’mores.

WinnepeSPOOKah

The amusement park at Lake Winnepesaukah transforms into a spooky Halloween spot featuring a Thriller Parade, haunted rides, yummy treats, and more.

Boo in the Zoo

If you’re looking for a non-scary option, check out Chattanooga Zoo’s event, which features a scavenger hunt, costumed characters, and, of course, animals.

Halloween Eerie Express

Head to Tennessee Valley Railroad’s Grand Junction station for this one-and-a-half-hour ride aboard a haunted vintage train, ending with the kid-friendly Eerie Fun House.

Ruby Falls Attractions You Have to See This Fall

Located just outside of Chattanooga on the Tennessee River, the town of Ruby Falls should be on your to-do list if you’re planning a trip to the Southeast, or if you’re already nearby and somehow missed this major attraction.

At the heart of Ruby Falls is the magnificent 145-foot underground waterfall that earned the city its name. A guided tour leads you through a network of awe-inspiring caves and deep into Lookout Mountain, where the waterfall comes roaring down through the rocks. The adventurous can even tour the cave the same way its original explorers did, with nothing but a lantern to light the way. For cave enthusiasts and first-timers alike, the underground falls are an incredible sight.

If you’re claustrophobic, Ruby Falls offers plenty to do above ground, too. An expansive zip line and suspended obstacle course get the adrenaline pumping and affords incredible views of nature and the nearby city of Chattanooga. The course features routes of varying difficulty, so whether you’re looking for a challenge or simply a unique view of a beautiful area, you can spend a memorable afternoon in the treetops at Ruby Falls.

Finally, at the top of the list of Ruby Falls attractions, be sure you visit Lookout Mountain Tower. Built in 1929 in the style of a 15th century Irish castle, the tower offers a panoramic view of the scenic landscape of Chattanooga and the Tennessee River.

With so much to offer, its no wonder Ruby Falls has become such a popular attraction.
