2020 Toyota Supra Preview: Race-Ready Power

Sports car lovers, rejoice: The Toyota Supra is back. Earlier this year at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Toyota unveiled the fifth-generation 2020 Toyota Supra.

This unique sports car, which is the first-ever global Toyota GAZOO Racing model, has finally ended years of speculation about its return, after its discontinuation in 2002.

Built on over 50 years of legendary performance, this brand-new Toyota is more than just a sports car. The 2020 Supra features a design that enhances your driving experience. Its cockpit has a low, narrow-section dashboard to give the driver plenty of visibility, while the racing-inspired seats hug you with comfort as you take corners.

The Supra’s rear-wheel drive has a low center of gravity and ideal 50:50 weight balance that streamlines tight turns. The 2020 model comes with a 3.0-liter twin-scroll turbo six engine that produces 335 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. It will come with an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, going from zero to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.

This sports car goes on sale this summer and will come in two grades: 3.0 and 3.0 Premium. Expect a Launch Edition as well.
